On August 23-24, 2024, we had the honor of participating in the Provincial Education Congress organized by the Marist Brothers of Central America at the Liceo Salvadoreño in El Salvador. This event, which brought together leaders from the seven countries where the Congregation is present, focused on educational innovation and provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices with educational leaders from the region.
At ODILO, we sponsored a talk and a workshop, both led by Edward Valderrama, our Director of Public and Private K12 LATAM Business. The talk, titled “Learning with Artificial Intelligence for a Sustainable Future,” allowed us to share our vision of how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming teaching and learning, and we emphasized the importance of training educators to effectively integrate these technologies into the classroom. The workshop, titled “Practical Workshop on Learning with Artificial Intelligence for a Sustainable Future” provided participants with hands-on experience in using AI to enhance sustainability in education.
During the congress, we addressed key topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence on education, the importance of educational innovation that goes beyond technology, and the fundamental role of prophetic and service leadership in promoting equity and well-being in educational institutions. We also explored how neuroscience can improve pedagogical strategies and create more effective learning environments.
Our participation in this congress allowed us to strengthen our relationships with Marist educational leaders in the region and reaffirm our commitment to transforming education through technological and pedagogical innovation.
We are excited about what the next year will bring and look forward to continuing to advance together towards a more sustainable and equitable educational future!
