ODILO, a Spanish edtech that transforms the way people and organizations learn in a unique digital environment, and the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) have closed a strategic alliance to make innovation and educational technology an engine for training in Latin America. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), both organizations have agreed to collaborate to promote quality, equity, and sustainability in education through projects and concept notes aimed at raising cooperation funds, both public and private, designed to optimize teaching systems in this region and close current educational gaps.
In this way, ODILO will contribute its technical capacity and knowledge in the development of training platforms and innovative experiences, as well as support in alliances and fund management. For its part, the OEI will facilitate the implementation of the various initiatives through its local offices in Latin America, taking advantage of its extensive experience and presence on the ground.
“Through this alliance, we add our institutional network and broad presence in Ibero-America to ODILO’s technical capacity, with the firm purpose of closing educational gaps. We are building a common project based on sustainability and ethics to ensure that technological advances are a tool at the service of equity and the real transformation of society,” details Mariano Jabonero Blanco, Secretary General of the OEI.
“This agreement with the OEI consolidates our position as the strategic technological partner for institutions leading educational change in Latin America. Our mission is to provide innovation capacity and the maximum guarantees of technical security to create learning ecosystems that are, above all, engines of inclusion and quality for all students in the region,” points out Sarah Harmon, General Manager of ODILO.
An initiative that promises to transform education in Latin America
With an initial duration of two years, and an aim for continuity and expansion, the agreement is designed to be developed through specific operational plans that include concrete resources and actions for each training project.
Likewise, the alliance leaves the door open to other projects or Spanish or Portuguese-speaking countries collaborating with the OEI. Similarly, it should be noted that the project is built on high standards of ethics and security. Both entities are committed to the use of non-sexist language, to promoting the values of equality, and to respecting strict compliance and transparency policies.
